How will you contribute?

In this role, you will be part of Business Development which spearheads CellaVision’s venture into new areas like pathology and cytology in close, cross-functional collaboration with the organization. Pathology and cytology are strategically prioritized growth areas for the company. You will be a central interface between external collaboration parties (e.g. labs and pathologists) and internal stakeholders. You will work with a diverse set of evolving tasks at the practical as well as strategic level. To thrive in the role, you are motivated by being at the forefront of novel technology development and new business development as we work to shape the future of digital microscopy for pathology and cytology labs globally.

As a Scientific Business Development Manager you will:

- Build collaborations with pathologists/pathology labs to establish access to samples and expert evaluation - essential inputs for maturation of new technology.

- Support the cross-functional team with medical insights and assessment framework to guide the maturation of novel technology.

- Be CellaVision’s scientific counterpart towards new strategic partners within pathology and cytology.

- Establish an Advisory Board and continuously organize and utilize Advisory Board meetings.

- Investigate new application areas and use cases within pathology and cytology, as well as qualify user needs and stakeholder requirements.

- Proactively monitor medical and technical developments in the fields of pathology and cytology.

- Assist and educate the organization in (digital) pathology and cytology.

What will you bring?

- Advanced scientific or health related degree (e.g., M.D. or Ph.D.).

- 5 years of experience or equivalent within pathology or a closely related discipline such as cytology.

- Strong scientific and medical expertise and demonstrated ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.

- Recent experience from work in a clinical laboratory.

- Preferably a network within the field of pathology/cytology or experience from interfacing with external stakeholders.

- You are proficient in the English language (spoken and written).

- You enjoy building relationships and cultivating collaborations, and you work seamlessly with other people.

- You exhibit a strong sense of initiative, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion.

- You demonstrate resilience in overcoming obstacles, adapting strategies when necessary.
