Poolia Väst Presentation For one of our customers Poolia is now looking for a consultant that wants to work as a Scientific Programmer. Arbetsuppgifter This is a technical role within the Knowledge Engineering (KE) Programme in Discovery Information in Mölndal. This position will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering the technical platform for the programme. The primary responsibilities of this role are: - investigate gaps in BMO from BW (it has a pre-clinical focus) - mapping in MedDRA (at the moment 40 % is mapped in either uBMO or uDisease) and AZDD - uBMO-uDisease rationalization. You will report to the vocabulary lead and take technical direction from the technical lead. Utbildning/erfarenhet We are looking for a candidate who has a master of science (or higher) in Biotechnology, preferentially Knowledge in Scientific Computing and Bioinformatics with excellent communication and documentation skills You should have extensive experience working with at least one scripting language (ideally Perl) and knowledge of and practical experience working with databases (e.g. Oracle). Furthermore, you should be fluent in written and spoken English In addition, awareness of biomedical vocabularies and ontologies (e.g. MedDRA, UMLS, OBO) are desired for this job. As a person, you are enthusiastic and you like to work alone or as a part of a team with a minimum of supervision. You are also results-driven and a self-starter, focused on delivering quality and timely solutions. You have the ability to interact/socialize and communicate with/to a diverse scientific user community.
