The department Biopharmaceuticals R&D is growing and looking for new scientists. The main focus for the department is development of drug substance and drug product. It also supports projects through the value chain from preclinical to product support and Life Cycle Management.

Downstream & Formulation Development (D&FD) is a section within Biopharmaceuticals R&D responsible for downstream process development for production of biopharmaceutical proteins to progress Sobi´s projects through development to market. The work is performed in cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative, experienced and engaged environment. Your work tasks will be:

• Development of downstream processes for production of biopharmaceuticals for clinical development and commercial manufacturing.
• Plan, perform, evaluate and document experiments with project teams.
• Write and review technical reports.
• Contribute to integration between different disciplines in the organization. (upstream/midstream/downstream) and for interaction with other parts of the organization.
Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in biotechnology or related area, alternatively M.Sc. with significant relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant biopharmaceutical industrial experience.
• Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in bio-separation technologies used for isolation and purification of biopharmaceuticals.
• Deep knowledge of optimization and scale-up of downstream processes.
• Experience in development of large scale industrial processes to enable clinical trials and commercial manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.
• Fluent in both oral and written English - fluent Swedish is a merit.
