The department Biopharmaceuticals R&D is growing and looking for new scientists. The main focus for the department is development of drug substance and drug product. It also supports projects through the value chain from preclinical to product support and Life Cycle Management.

Bioassays is a section within Biopharmaceuticals R&D, that support process development with sample analysis for characterization and quality control of biopharmaceutical proteins. The work is performed in cross-functional project teams in a highly collaborative, experienced and engaged environment.

Your work tasks will be:

• Sample analysis to support process development, protein characterization and release testing of clinical trials materials according to cGMP
• Hands-on development of bioassays intended to determine biological activity (potency) of biopharmaceuticals during CMC development
• Independently initiate, plan, perform, evaluate and document experiments
• Support qualification of bioassays according to ICH guidelines
• Practical responsibility for laboratory instruments, including pipetting robots
• To some extent write and review technical reports
• Contribute to good collaboration within the section and project teams by actively sharing results and ideas
Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in life science, alternatively M. Sc. with relevant experience
• Practical experience in working with bioanalytical methods - enzymatic assays, cell based assays or both
• Technical interest in laboratory instruments
• Experience of working in a GMP regulated laboratory environment is a merit
• Experience in development of bioassays to support CMC development of biopharmaceuticals in an industrial setting is a merit
• Fluent in both oral and written English
