About us
The Electric Drive Software department at Volvo Cars is proud of being one of the most successful players within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.
The Inverter Controls group are two agile teams consisting of enthusiastic people with a mix of different people and background. A high focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get warm welcome, support and acceptance.


About you
You should be passionate about development of complex mechatronic systems within vehicle electrification, electronics, and embedded systems. You are devoted to driving engineering challenges all the way from business case and concept stage to mass production.
You have senior background within Power Electronics field and is a natural initiator that commits to deliver the Team´s deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player that contributes and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network.

What you will do
As our new Scrum Master, you will be coaching our team using agile team practices with focus on flow, and take lead in continuous improvements. You will support the team to embrace, adopt and apply agile principles and practices, you will support in the agile ways of working like SAFe, Scrum, Kanban. You will assist the execution, feature/capability completion tracking and report status. Your goal is to see to that the team operate and deliver as an effective “team on the train”. 

You will work closely with the team, the Product Owners and with the line management. You will be supporting the Product Owner in his efforts to manage the backlog with respect to priorities and scope. You will facilitate all team meetings like the daily stand-up, iteration-planning, demo and retrospective. You will also collaborate with other Scrum Masters to increase the culture within the ART.
You will be responsible and part of the Protection & Limitation team. The team develops functions that from initial concept, design, implementation and verification to assure that the customer gets the best experience as possible from our product.

After a period of 6 months, you are expected to take on task from the Team´s backlog and work 30-50% with development work as well to support the team. You will need to balance this work with Scrum Master tasks.

You and your skills
* Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems, Mechatronics or Power Electronics
* Documented leadership skills and leading project and/or teams to success.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience from one or more of:Embedded SW, integration of micro controllers and model bases SW development 
* CI from automotive powertrain background
* Debugging/testing embedded software systems and automation
* Integration of embedded SW and scripting for automated integration testing

* Driver’s license
