Seat Comfort and Seat System Engineer

Your role will be divided into two interesting areas:

As Seat System Engineer, you work with the development of Seat Systems within the Seats & Restraint team. You will work in a Global environment to develop new Seat concepts, drive Global Seat projects with our suppliers, according to project timing and requirements. This gives possibilities for China Business trips to support pre-serial builds and attend other seat project meetings.

As Seat Comfort Attribute Leader, you are responsible for the Seat Comfort and Comfort Verification in running projects. You will work tight together with the Seat Engineering team, CAE team with Seat Comfort optimization and verification Leader for physical testing.

It's your ambitions and drive, that put the limits for our Seat Comfort Development.



Responsibilities and tasks

System engineer part:

Your main tasks will be to Lead and coordinate Seat development, in a cross functional CEVT-team and also toward Suppliers and Geely in China. You will report directly to the project and coordinate the tasks to the supplier. During Supplier Sourcing, you will drive technical reviews with supplier, to achieve a successful sourcing with right seat specification and content.

Comfort Attribute Lead part:

Your main task will be to lead the Comfort development of the seats, by providing technical input, plan seat comfort simulations with our CAE-team and perform comfort drives together with our seat-team.

You will update and establish new comfort evaluation methods, to achieve successful seat comfort results, in our future vehicle projects.

Suitable background and experience

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or similar education level.
- Relevant experience from the development of Seat systems
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Technical expertise: - Seat system and comfort
- Detailed knowledge about planning and Product Development Systems

You have a flexible mindset with the ability to lead the development and take decisions. Another critical attribute for this role is a creative and analytical mindset to handle complex problems. Your ability to communicate clearly is vast. Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture, is also very important for this role.
