MachineGames is looking for a new Senior 3D Artist to join our team and help us create new exciting AAA titles!
Our studio is located in central Uppsala, Sweden which is a small and vibrant city 40 minutes north of Stockholm with a historical heritage reaching back to pre-medieval times.
In this position you will be working in a tight-knit department under the supervision of our Lead Prop Artist and you will collaborate in cross-functional teams on a daily basis. You will get to leave your mark on our upcoming titles and be part of creating a beautiful world for our players to enjoy! To thrive in this role we believe you as a person works well with others but are equally as comfortable to own your area of responsibility and make suggestions that would help push the art of our games to the next level.
This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible. We will support your relocation and/or application for work permit if you have a non-EU passport and/or not currently residing in Sweden.
Create models and texture from concept to final model in engine
Optimize models for game to run smooth
Work together with level design and environment artists to realize the levels
Work alongside your senior colleagues, Leads and Art Director to support the vision of our games
Communicating with different departments to make sure assets gets in and work accordingly
Work with the art director and leads on establishing, documenting, and maintaining production pipelines
Help out tech-art and leads on improving tools and pipeline
Mentor and inspire other artists in our team
Be pro-active within production
Expert knowledge of at least one major modeling package (Maya, MAX, Lightwave, MODO or equivalent)
Expert knowledge of a sculpture program (Z-brush, 3D coat or equivalent)
Expert knowledge of Substance Painter
Expert knowledge of PBR systems with a focus on material definition, readability, and convincing surface detail
Expert understanding of and how to operate within given technical constraints
Experience with cloth simulation tools (Marvelous Designer, or cloth plugins to 3D package)
5+ years of game industry experience with at least two AAA games shipped
