POSITION: Senior Application Analyst - SAP

The company develops, produces and sells an integrated portfolio of products and services to companion animal veterinarians. Offerings include in-clinic diagnostic tests and instrumentation, laboratory services, pharmaceuticals, and practice management software. The company leverages its expertise in diagnostic technology in three additional business areas. The Company provides the preferred tools for monitoring the health of production animals, such as cattle, swine and poultry. The company also provides diagnostics for detection of microbiological contamination of drinking water, and for screening for antibiotic residues in milk
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the functional areas of SAP R/3 and other application software packages. Collaborate with internal customers, IT, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, recommend and implement solution options. Key functional area is on Customer Relation Management processes (Sales, Marketing and Customer Support), whereby both in-house development and package implementation is part of the job.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot functional problems in SAP R/3 and other application software when implemented. Customize SAP R/3 and other application software functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design. Assess available technologies and communicate SAP R/3 and other application software capabilities/possibilities. Prepare business specifications for reports and provide business analysis for operations. Develop business relationships and integrating activities with other departments to ensure successful implementations. Lead small projects to ensure functionality is developed in a way that complies with business requirements and established methodologies & practices. Provide back-up support on the Applications Support Helpdesk. Create system User Guides and train end-users on new or changed functionality in the SAP R/3 system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or business-related (functional) discipline, with an understanding of programming concepts or equivalent work experience and technical training.
3 - 5 years experience in Customer Relationship Management (Sales, Marketing and Customer Support). 2 or more years experience on SAP R/3. Project management on cross-functional projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills and the ability to to work in a self-directed environment. Thorough understanding of business operations in a manufacturing environment. Good interpersonal and project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing projects. Familiarity with SAP R/3 architecture. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bringing project deliverables to completion (requiring good presentation skills, writing skills and effective meeting skills). Strong knowledge of SD, MM.
Additional knowledge in Business Intelligence, FI/CO, Sales Force automation and CRM products highly beneficial.
High level of computer work. Some worldwide travel.
