Senior Buyer

Within the Volvo 3P Organization, Cab Exterior Purchasing team in Europe is searching for a Senior Buyer responsible for a Continental portfolio of steel- and extruded aluminum parts serving both brands Volvo and Renault Trucks. The portfolio requires a lot of co-operation with buyers within other purchasing groups due to common suppliers. Core Responsibilities Responsible for the current business such as budget responsibility, agreements and delivery issues Responsible for new projects such as supplier selection and follow up / driving the supplier during the project phases Will report directly to the EU Group Manager and functionally to the Global Purchasing Manager Required Competencies Analytical, structured, self starter, self motivated, being able to drive suppliers, co-operative, and to have a good business sense Minimum Years of Experience Required 3-5 year experience as buyer or senior buyer Minimum Education Required Academic Degree (e.g.Bachelor?s Degree) in Business Administration or Engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities Other info Cab Exterior Purchasing is a fully continental team located both in Lyon and Gothenburg and preferably the candidate for this portfolio should be located in Gothenburg to keep the balance of the team but it is also possible to be based in Lyon.
