Assignment Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer for an exciting role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of work experience and possess strong skills in data modeling, SQL/T-SQL, ETL processes, and Azure services. The primary focus of this position will be designing and implementing efficient data models to support analytical requirements in Azure and Power BI.
What you'll do:
· Data Modeling: Design and implement effective data models that meet analytical needs in Azure and Power BI.
· SQL and T-SQL: Proficient in writing complex queries and utilizing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) to retrieve, transform, and aggregate data from diverse sources.
· ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, such as Azure Data Factory, to extract data from various sources, transform it to fit desired data models, and load it into Azure data storage or Power BI.
· Azure Services: Familiarity with Azure services related to data and analytics, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).
· Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing data models, queries, and report performance to ensure efficient and responsive analytics.
· Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve data, query, performance, or visualization-related issues in Azure and Power BI through strong problem-solving skills.
Who you are:
· Security and Governance: Understanding of data security principles, implementation of role-based access controls, and adherence to data governance policies when working with sensitive information.
· Power BI knowledge
· DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
· Working knowledge of Jira
· Provide backend support to enhance Power BI reports for seamless business continuity.
· Assist in the migration from the QlikView platform to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
