Aurobay is looking for an experienced Senior Design engineer forCylinder heads. Our team is part of Base Engine Engineering and organized under Research & Development. This is a fantastic opportunity in a new business, where you will work as part of a top performance inhouse team with highly skilled people, to create world-class powertrain solutions.

In our team we are component owners for Cylinder head, Valve train and VVT system components and have full responsibility for both current production engine variants and future projects.

What will you do?

As a design engineer you will be responsible for the design of cylinder head and cam bearing houses for all our different engine variants. This includes not only the design but also to manage time plans, cost effectiveness, new technologies and material evaluation. You will work in close cooperation with project leaders, suppliers worldwide, test engineers, CAE engineers and our manufacturing engineers in Sweden and China engine plants.

Do you fit the profile?

We believe you have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree within mechanical engineering or equivalent. We are looking for you who have at least 5 years or more working experience in combustion engine design, preferable with cylinder head and knowledge in aluminum casting.

You have deep knowledge of internal combustion engine function, and previous work experience within engine design and general powertrain competence. You are fluent in English and possess a driver’s license “B”, valid in Sweden and you have the ability to travel if necessary.

We think you are a combustion engine enthusiast, self-driven, curious and a good team player. You are solution -oriented individual with an analytical mind-set and feel comfortable to present your results. You have a genuine interest in engine development, understands the details behind technical requirements and a good team player. Your high integrity and professionalism engage and encourage people for successful cross functional work progress.
