Role Description

Zebware has an ambitious and exciting journey ahead! To ensure our customers’ success, it is vital that our solutions are easy to deploy as well as “lives” in a robust and scalable run-time environment. For this reason, we are now looking for a Sr DevOps and Deployment Engineer to join our team. In this position you will play a key role, taking the lead to define and develop our default deployment options as well as support our customers in defining bespoke approaches when necessary.
Our multi-cloud data management solution encompasses Object Storage Gateways, a Central View & Governance module, a Customer Portal and a License Manager module. The solution supports both cloud-native and legacy workloads and is generally deployed on customers’ premises. However, some of our offerings are also available as managed services. In this case, deployment is generally on Azure.
This role will interface both with internal technical Zebware teams – consisting of Developers, QAs, UX and Technical Product Owners – and directly with customers. Our way of working is agile and you are expected to take a proactive and collaborative approach in all interactions.
All our backend development is written in Go and the frontend is written in React using Ant Design. Solution is containerized with Kubernetes as preferred deployment environment. Data endpoints are S3 compatible and adapters are used to access 15+ pre-integrated cloud providers for backend storage. RESTful APIs are used and GitLab employed for code management.

Your Professional Profile
5+ years with DevOps and deployment of large scale, complex solutions - ideally in hybrid-cloud environments
Extensive practical experience of container-orchestration – focus on self-managed Kubernetes – and Docker containerization
Deployment control via Helm charts, Docker-compose, Docker-Hub etc.
Knowledgeable regarding infrastructure architecture and infrastructure as code
Experience of cloud services and object storage (S3, various cloud provides – AWS/GCP/Azure etc., OpenStack Swift, Ceph...)
Well versed in deployment of distributed solutions with HA and scale-out requirements
Management of Site Reliability, Monitoring and Logging
General knowledge of networking and infrastructure
Misc experiences: Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, Shell scripting, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Postgres & Cockroach DB etc.
Version controlling via Git
Used to working in agile environments with short release cycles and iterations
