Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems Component Qualification Engineer will help us design and develop electrical harness interconnections systems for the aircraft and will report to the Head of Electrical Power Systems.
This role will be specialized in EWIS Component Qualification and your responsibilities will include:

- Communicate the strategy to meet regulation 25.1703, including defining component testing gaps and test plans
- Prepare the Approved Parts List showing EWIS components available for selection and the environments for which they are approved
- Research and launch new part requests needed to meet specific design needs
- Prepare and track completion of EWIS components Qualification Similarity Reports
- Resolve multi-manufacturer part issues with primary EWIS supplier teams
- Review components and data submitted from all other work packages with EWIS content

Qualifications & Experience

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering

-
Minimum 10 years experience in aircraft electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) across the development lifecycle

Experience developing and reviewing system schematics, wiring diagrams and harness drawings

Experience developing and reviewing EWIS installation models and harness installation drawings

-
Ability to resolve connection issues with equipment in all aircraft environments

Experience with aircraft EWIS (ATA92) certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)

Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-160, DO-178 & 254)

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Eagerness to work with others

The ideal candidate would have

Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761/5580)

Worked on multiple aircraft programs until certification
