Job Specifications and requirements:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Renfrew office.

Experience of pipe hanger surveying and knowledge of SMARTPLANT software is preferable.

Preference will be given to candidates who already have British Energy security clearance.

Experience of boiler/power plant BOP i.e.fans, dampers and experience of ammonia plant systems required.

Will review supplier bid documentation and comparison to DBEL specifications and preparation of technical bid evaluation sheets.

Will liaise with other engineering sections to ensure the complete engineering package is achieved.

Will perform process validation checks/calculations to assess existing systems for "Purpose" and specify new equipment/systems.

Will carry out Designer's Risk Assessment on systems that have undergone changes and assist in compilation of resource estimates for EPC Contract phase.

Offer technical advice and solutions to "in situ" problems.
