Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Develop and maintain secure, high-performance systems supporting public health initiatives, including infection tracking, genetic sequencing data sharing, grant management, and monitoring.
Work in an agile development and management team, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective system support.
Design, implement, and optimize full-stack solutions using Java 21+, Angular 17+, and modern frameworks such as Quarkus, Microprofile, and Jakarta EE.
Ensure seamless system integrations using REST Open-API and other relevant technologies.
Manage relational databases, specifically MariaDB and SQL, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
Develop and optimize microservices architecture, ensuring efficient communication and secure data handling.
Implement and manage DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and system monitoring with tools like GitLab, Grafana, and Portainer.
Enhance security measures, securing communication between microservices and ensuring compliance with IT and information security standards.
Support system performance improvement, load testing, and overall optimization across frontend, backend, and database layers.
Contribute to technical decision-making, advising on best practices for regulatory compliance and secure software development.

What you bring:
At least 10 years of programming experience with a strong background in Java development (Java 21+).
Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly MariaDB and SQL.
Proficiency in frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Strong experience with Angular 17+ and modern frontend frameworks.
Expertise in GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
Hands-on experience with containerized environments using Docker Swarm or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, including Kafka.
Knowledge and experience with microservices architecture, inter-service communication, and secure integration.
Experience with cloud storage solutions such as MinIO and StorageGrid S3.
Proficiency in Hibernate JPA or similar database technologies.
Strong skills in performance optimization, including frontend, backend, and database tuning.
Experience with monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana and Portainer.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD practices, and system automation.
Expertise in building and maintaining secure applications, with a strong focus on IT security and secure communication between microservices.
Experience working in regulatory-controlled environments and government agencies.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile development teams.
Familiarity with Atlassian products for project management and documentation.
Fluency in Swedish, both written and spoken.

Meritorious experience:
Strong expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
Experience integrating with Nextflow or equivalent microbiological analysis platforms.
Background in IT systems for microbiological analysis integration.
