Main Tasks
For our Functional Design team within the Product and Process Development (PPD) department we are currently looking for a Senior Functional Architect.

PPD is responsible for development, support and maintenance of all business applications. An important task of PPD is the constant optimization of the Information Infrastructure so it can evolve with the dynamic, rapidly changing market/ organization.

" Overall responsible for the functional architecture/ design of IT systems.
" Linking pin between IT, business and operations; Maximise benefits by combining commercial and operational opportunities with IT possibilities.
" Part of the company's Architecture Group, responsible for validating functional solutions.
" Ensure input on architecture is taken into account by Project Management, factories and business owners.
" Ensure that proposed architecture designs per project are consistent across all projects being implemented at WNL as well as scalable, easy to support & to maintain, flexible and adaptive to new/future business requirements.
" Propose improvements to the existing functional architecture, which will lead to savings in maintenance and/or future development.
" Develop, maintain and share/document knowledge of the functional architecture of WNL business applications.
" Deputy of the Functional Design Manager.
" Support all functional analysts and project managers in the understanding of the functional architecture. Advise functional analysts on the impact of new developments on existing business applications.



Requirements

Musthaves:
" University level, Technical background.
" Track record in designing functional architecture focused on large business applications/ business support systems.
" Business orientation/ vision; understanding business objectives; ability to translate technology to business impact.
" Ability to both dive deep and provide synthesis.
" Open minded with regards to possible solutions: As the Functional Architect is responsible for the overall picture he/ she should not think in terms of a unique solution but a set of possible and possibly very different solutions.
" Fluency in English (work language).
Nice to haves:
" Experience within ISP or Telco in an international environment.
" Experience with either billing, CRM, VOIP, or DSL provisioning.
" Experience in project management.
" On the job technical development experience in order to fully understand the technical implications of functional architecture decisions.
" Dutch appreciated.
