IKEA Business Area Bedroom and Bathroom is where the Bedroom and Bathroom products are created with influence from all over the world, created for the many people all over the world and where you now have the chance to grow and make a difference as a Senior Interior Designer. The business area and team represents one of the larges businesses within IKEA, juggling a high performing running range as well as a number of extensive long term growth plans. It?s a lively and friendly department with a hands on and influential mentality.

The responsibility of the Senior Interior Designer is to secure, communicate and visualize the range coordination within Bedroom and Bathroom, as well as to secure alignment to other business areas, supporting the Business calendar and IKEAs launch calendar.
It is also to ensure a high level of home furnishing competence, before, during and after range development in close collaborating with the product development teams.
And to further communicate and demonstrate this knowledge securing the range presentation during internal and external channels such as the Business Plan kick off weeks, IKEA Launch Plan, the IKEA web, Stores and other internal stakeholders.

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for:
-Lead the full coordination between the Bedroom and Bathroom range contribution and the One IKEA Launch calendar.
-Support coordination with other Home Furnishing Businesses through all range and product development cycles.
-Coordinate, visualize and communicate the Bedroom and bathroom range contribution in Business plan kick off weeks
-Ensure and support a high level of home furnishing competence (Through strategic input, Workshops, Product development etc.)
-Support and advice in all brief matters covering style coordination and home furnishing knowledge (All media)
-Support Range, Product Development Teams and Business teams in identifying range gaps/opportunities.

Within these responsibilities the Senior Interior Designer draws from and must have:
-Highly sensitive for styles, design, aesthetic combining materials, color, form, function and price.
-Passion for peoples life at home in all markets and the deployment in to good home furnishing solutions.
-Structured and well organized.
-Good communication skills both verbal and visual with the capacity of getting the message across and create understanding in a structured and clear way.
-Strong capacity in stakeholder alignment.

Interested?
To be successful in this role, you must have:
-Degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design or Fine/Applied arts or working experience of the same value.
-Senior interior design experience from a strategic, planning role.
-Deep knowledge of global market home furnishing trends and social demographics.
-Know-how in sharing knowledge and coach others in the most effective way.
