The SKF Engineering & Research Centre is the Group's central product R&D facility with employees of many nationalities.It is located in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, and has a satellite in Gothenburg, Sweden.As an employee of ERC, you are (in) the heart of our technology development activities that support SKF's business strategyand working in close co-operation with the operational units in the business.If you are challenged by the idea of developing yours and SKF's knowledge, you are welcome to join our Modelling & Simulation team in Gothenburg, Sweden, as a: Senior IT engineer in mechanical-simulation software development (Senior IT ingenjör - mekaniksimulering) Sökord: Civilingenjör, högskoleingenjör, mekanik, IT, programutveckling, projektledare, Systemadministration, kvalitetssystem, release, programtestning, dokumentation, versionshantering, distribuerad utveckling, objektorienterad design, multibody, parallell programmering, simuleringsverktyg, beräkningskluster, användargränssnitt C++, Linux, Windows, Qt, Java, Perl, Python The Modelling & Simulation team works in close co-operation with the international product divisions, the technical development centres, and engineering consultancy on calculation models of bearings and bearing applications.The software tools that are developed in the Modelling & Simulation team are based on state of the art in-house developed technology and include aspects as system life, tribology, fatigue, and noise & vibration.You will be involved in the current development as well as in the future evolution of the modelling & simulation software.Job profile: You will be part of the development team and have the following responsibilities: * You will be responsible for the development, testing, release and customer acceptance of new simulation software. * You are contributing not only to the actual software development but also have a guiding voice in the discussions regarding future advancements in the software. * As a project manager you will be responsible for customer contacts, financials and reporting.Your profile: * You have a University education, preferably in mechanical or IT engineering. * You have experience in project management. * You have experience in modern object-oriented programming (C++). * You are a self-motivated, pro-active team member.You are customer-focused and result-oriented. * You have a strong focus on reaching targets and delivering results. * You have excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language.Our offer: We offer you the opportunity to work in an innovative and international R&D environment.You will join a team of well-motivated colleagues with many backgrounds.You will interact with different branches of SKF where you will have the opportunity to travel and work abroad on short assignments.We offer competitive employment conditions and support your professional development within SKF.You are very welcome with your application!
