Senior Backend Developer – Assortment Team (Retail / E-commerce)
We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join a product team within the retail/e-commerce domain, working with article and assortment data for digital channels (web and app). The team is responsible for maintaining, enriching, and personalizing data that is business-critical for sales and customer experience. In addition, the team develops internal, employee-facing applications used by central functions and in-store staff.
You will be part of an agile, cross-functional team consisting of a Product Owner, Tech Lead, and developers. The ways of working are characterized by close collaboration, continuous delivery, and a strong focus on quality, secure operations, and business value. The assignment is hybrid, with on-site presence in Solna several days per week.
Your Mission
Strengthen backend and development capabilities to ensure stable, secure, and continuous delivery
Work closely with Product Owner, Tech Lead, developers, and architects
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization and product area
Contribute to improving ways of working, technical standards, and overall quality

We are looking for someone with
5+ years of experience as a Java backend developer
Solid experience with Java, Spring, and microservice architecture
Experience working in agile environments

Technical skills
Extensive experience with Spring Boot and REST-based APIs
Proficiency in Java 17+
Good understanding of microservice and event-driven architectures
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka
Understanding of databases (SQL and/or MongoDB)
Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure is preferred)
Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle

Nice to have
Frontend development experience
Infrastructure / IaC experience (e.g., Terraform)
Swedish language skills
