UK Trade & Investment is the UK Government's organisation that helps UK based companies succeed in international markets. We assist overseas companies to bring high quality investment to the UK's vibrant economy.
We employ over 2500 staff and advisers across our international network, helping to enhance the competitiveness of companies in the UK through overseas trade and investments. In Sweden, we are based at the British Embassy in Stockholm.
The Job
We are now looking for a Senior Market Adviser to help UK based businesses establish in the Swedish market. You will be responsible for the following sectors; IT, electronics, telecommunications, fire and security.
You will be working with business, trade associations and government agencies to meet the needs of UK export firms here in Sweden. You will manage a small team and report to the head of UK Trade & Investment in Sweden. You will also have the responsibility of co-ordinating project work within the IT sectors across the Nordic region.
Profile
You have good industry knowledge within at least some of the above named sectors together with contacts in the industry. You effectively structure the work of a team to meet tough performance targets. Experience of business development or export promotion would be of merit.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish.
