Who are we?
Within the Volvo Cars Commercial Digital team, we work in customer-centric product teams to make Volvo Cars business fully digital. We build products and systems for Volvo Cars customers and partners, including volvocars.com, the Volvo On Call app, Care by Volvo, online sales, customer data management, Volvo ID, retail and service tools, the Volvo Cars Developer Portal and APIs for building new innovative services.

The team is mainly located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund, Sweden, and we also have teams in the US, India and in China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna, and King.

The Challenge
At Volvo Cars we are undergoing a huge transformation in our commercial system and how we do business.  It is a fundamental shift from a wholesale business model to a consumer business model. A prerequisite for this transformation to happen is to deeply change the way we view, work with and manage consumer data.   

We are now looking for a Senior Master Data Architect to act as a technical lead for the design and development of our emerging Masterdata Management Solution.

This new Solution will be responsible for managing commercial data and consumer information across a complex landscape of client systems and applications. 

You will be leading the technical and architectural design for the Solution development and deployment - collecting, storing managing, analyzing and distributing our data to achieve our business goals. 

You will be working together with skilled Product Owners, data analysts, Data Engineers, Developers and experts, who are currently engaged in making Volvo Cars offer world class customer experiences, by being truly driven by consumer data. 

You and your skills
* BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience
* Master the English language both spoken and in writing
* Experience in working with Master Data Management (MDM) systems is central
* Consumer/Commercial Data models definitions
* Consumer/Commercial Data integration and interface design landscape (data producers/consumers). 
* Translate business needs to technical capabilities
* In addition to Masterdata management, experience in designing Data analytics requirements, visualizations, Data lake usage vs warehousing etc
* Driven and self-motivated, with a strong delivery orientation
* Experiences technical leader with experience from large scale project
* Strong communicator, able to translate technical issues and explaining them well to a mixed audience
* Positive Doer mindset, focuses on opportunities as well as risks and challenges
* Problem solver, with good analytical skills
