Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer-Plastic & Metal Design to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Design and evaluate concepts, including the creation of specifications.
Build and verify prototypes, ensuring functionality and performance.
Focus primarily on load-bearing welded metal constructions, with involvement in plastic components.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.
Ensure manufacturability and low-cost production through design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations to evaluate the behavior of constructions under different loads and environmental conditions.
What you bring:
Good knowledge of CAD, particularly SolidWorks.
Experience in metal construction, including sheet metal, welding, and load-bearing structures.
Expertise in plastic construction and injection molding.
Proficient in manufacturing processes, DFM, and cost-effective design strategies.
Experience in creating detailed drawings, including tolerance setting for welded constructions and plastic components.
Ability to perform mechanical analysis and simulations on load-bearing structures.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Self-driven with strong organizational skills, capable of managing work independently and efficiently.
Experience working on products with clear end-user needs, demonstrating a strong understanding of user requirements and experiences.
Strong communication skills, with a hands-on approach and a commitment to iterative prototyping and product development.
