GVA.with global Headquarters located in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a wholly owned subsidiary of KBR.GVA?s reputation has been built upon the company?s ability to provide cost-efficient, state-of-the-art, safe and environmentally sound design solutions.GVA is presently holding a healty order book and the company is well positioned to capture further growth Position The Senior Piping Engineer will be apart of the Drilling & Utility Department and will be reporting to the Group Manager. The primary reponsibilities will include: -Development of piping and valve specifications for offshore applications, mainly marine service but in som cases also hydracarbon process.-Stress calculations.-Flow calculations.-Piping and equipment layout (normally PDMS).-Development of detail drawings.-System engineering (P&ID development).-Inspection, mechanical completion and commissioning at shipyards and other sites around the world. Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: -Completion of a M.Sc.degree in Naval Architecture Mechanical Engineer or similar.-Minimum 10 years experience of relevant piping engineering experience, preferably from marine systems or oil/cargo handling.-Design experiance from offshore and/or petrochemical applications.-Long and recent design experience with PDMS.-Long experience with piping stress calculations.-Good knoweledge about piping design standards.-Documented experience from development of piping and valve classes.-Experience from detail design and construction of piping systems.-Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.-Initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.-Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.-Question the effectiveness of current systems and processes and looks for ways to improve on them.-Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both prevoious successes and failures.
