Senior Plant Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Plant Design Engineer to our office in Sala, where we work with solutions in the mining industry. As Senior Plant Design Engineer you will work with the mechanical plant design for mineral processing plants. The plant design work can include dry ore handling systems, wet processing, piping, layout drawings, basic civil outline drawings, preparation of design criteria et c. You will be responsible for the plant design and the coordination of work within our engineering disciplines. You will coordinate and distribute the engineering work related to various proposals and projects within the plant engineering department. You will manage, coordinate and review engineering work performed by internal design engineers as well as external contractors. Job responsibilities aslo include working closely with project managers to give input, report design changes and time and cost parameters. You will attend meetings and need to travel frequently, both domestic and internationally. You have a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (i e Project/Construction management), or equivalent training/experience. You have four years experience from plant design work and some experience of plant design in the mining business, preferably from concentrator plants for copper-, iron-, lead/zink-, gold-, diamond- or other ores. Preferably you also have experience from 3D-modelling of plants. You are fluent in English (especially with technical terms), have excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. You have strong computer skills, including all Microsoft products, Lotus Notes and AutoCAD. You are a highly motivated individual, with the ability to work well under stress and meet deadlines. You also have good organizational and decision making skills and can function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
