Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Project Control Manager to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Schedule Management:
Develop, monitor, and update detailed engineering schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities.
Provide “look-ahead” schedules and recommend remedial actions to address deviations.
Cost Control:
Establish and maintain a cost control system to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate cost data in corporate reports.
Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, developing corrective action plans as needed.
Prepare detailed cost reports and contribute to monthly progress reporting.
Progress Measurement:
Develop and implement progress measurement systems aligned with project baselines.
Prepare S-curves and other visualization tools to track earned value and performance metrics.
Conduct trend analysis to forecast project outcomes and recommend adjustments.
Reporting:
Produce detailed monthly reports on project performance, highlighting key issues, risks, and mitigation measures.
Present project status updates to clients and stakeholders with transparency and accuracy.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project controls activities for audit and reference purposes.
Track engineering deliverables and provide weekly status reports compared to forecast and plan dates.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Liaise with engineering leads to ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables.
Mentor project controls staff and provide guidance to team members.
Support the development and implementation of project controls procedures and best practices.
What you bring
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls, with a strong focus on EPCm projects.
Proven experience managing engineering scopes for large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably steel mills or similar.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost control systems, and earned value management techniques.
Hands-on experience with S-curves and progress reporting. S
trong communication skills and a track record of working in fast-paced projects and EPCm consultancies.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and project management software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
