Senior Research Scientist - Deep Learning

As a Senior Research Scientist at Vironova, you will join a multicultural team with expertise in virology, structural biology, electron microscopy, image analysis and software development. We growing and are now looking for a skilled image analyst to our R&D team.

You will:

- develop image analysis algorithms for segmentation of electron microscopy images as well as for automated control of electron microscopes
- evaluate and adapt deep neural networks for detection and classification of electron microscopy images
- keep up to date on new methods and research results in machine learning and especially deep learning
- customize imaging scripts and analytics methods for customer applications
- participate in sales and marketing activities such as telephone meetings, customer visits, presentations and exhibitions at conferences
- plan and schedule research projects and development activities


To succeed you need to:

Be a doctorate in image analysis, computer vision or equivalent and have documented expertise / experience in machine learning and especially deep learning.
It is also important that you have documented knowledge and experience in analyzing microscopy images.

As a person, you have easy to collaborate with experts in other areas and are skilled at communicating your area of expertise to other non-experts. You are curious and enjoy discussing methods and application with clients and experts in other areas.

Educationally we see that you need:

- Postgraduate education in image analysis, computer vision or equivalent.
- Fluent in English
