Proffice is one of the fastest growing companies within the Nordic region, according to Growth Plus.Proffice provides flexible staffing solutions such as temporary staffing, recruiting, outsourcing and career and development programs.Proffice operates in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.Proffice AB is listed on the Stockholmsbörsen (Stockholm Stock Exchange).Proffice is now looking for a scientist with hands on experience of protein production for structural analysis.This temporary position (approx.one year) will be placed in the Protein Chemistry team at the Structural Chemistry Laboratory at AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal, Sweden.The Structural Chemistry Laboratory, Mölndal is a centre of excellence supporting the AstraZeneca discovery organizations in Sweden, UK and US.The laboratory has around 35 scientists engaged in experimental research and the core disciplines are protein engineering, NMR spectroscopy and protein crystallography.The lab is excellently equipped with state of the art equipment.Senior Research Scientist, Protein Chemistry. The work involves the expression, purification and biophysical characterization of human target proteins for X-ray and NMR.For the position it is required that the candidate has excellent experience in the purification and characterization of proteins for structure.You should have a PhD-degree and preferably postdoctoral experience, or a similar background from an industrial setting.The successful candidate will join one of the sub-teams and work in direct support of one of the therapeutic areas.This is an excellent opportunity for a structural scientist to gain experience from the international and multidisciplinary environment within one of the worlds leading pharmaceutical companies.For this position it is required that you can work effectively both in a team and on your own initiative.As you will be required to liaise with colleagues across scientific disciplines, you will also need excellent interpersonal skills - linked with the ability to think inventively and analytically.
