Proffice is now looking for a key person in the development of biopharmaceutical assays in the context of pharmacokinetics, which is now a key area of AstraZeneca. The position is for 12 months with a preferential starting date by mid january. AstraZeneca has just demonstrated strong commitment in NBE (New Biological Entity) research and development by acquiring CAT (Cambrigde antibody technology) in UK. The profile of the immunoassay development specialist includes a PhD grade in immunology, biochemistry or related area with hands on experience of immunochemistry. The individual should have a post-doc experience in this field and be equipped with the following skills: * Strong competence in immunochemistry and antibodies is a must * Competence in protein biochemistry and/or structure * Strong experience in immunogenicity testing * Experience in setting up ELISA, Biacore and related assays * Advanced experience in pharmacokinetics * Good understanding of the impact of immunogenicity on drug discovery and development The individual should have a strong scientific mindset but also be pragmatic in solving technical issues. Interest in solving technical problems and quality aspects is a must.
