In the Reverse Engineering team within Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing organization, we are committed to supporting the creation and commercialization of the industry’s strongest and most valuable patent portfolio. We have our own dedicated hardware and software labs where technical analyses of mobile devices, including 5G devices, are performed with the aim of detecting patent infringements.
For mobile devices and embedded systems in general, software plays a key role. The user experience features are implemented in software stacks and applications. Hardware for radio frequency circuits, power management, amplifiers, sensors and so on are all controlled by software. Hardware in the embedded products can to a large extent be analyzed via software. Therefore, software reverse engineering plays a key role in analyzing infringement on Ericsson IPR. With the role as senior software analyst we want to strengthen our team further in this area.
You will:
Work on the latest state-of-the-art wireless technology
Be part of a dedicated team of highly skilled experts
Influence your daily work and the team’s route forward
Dive into the details of mobile handset and IoT device technologies, or analyze how the different design blocks interact on a system level, or anything in-between.
Together with other team members finding ways for showing that IPR is infringed, and develop methods for producing evidence or indications of use
Work with world-class external suppliers of reverse engineering and technical analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
Worked with software analysis, trouble shooting, bug fixing or similar on a systems level of mobile phones and IoT devices
Experience from patent related work
Experience with SW and HW reverse engineering
Worked with Linux, Android and iOS
Familiar with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Hopper, gdb and Apktool.

Minimum qualifications:
M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or comparable
Several years of hands-on experience from SW product development and troubleshooting of mobile handsets or wireless IoT devices
Fluent in written and spoken English
Great communication skills
