Job Description


To strengthen our growing Bosch software development center in Lund, we are looking for a senior software architect for our central architecture group. You will be a central part of a development site that is a front runner regarding modern state of the art software development within the Bosch Group. You will be able to impact the architecture processes and way of working as well as coordinating research in the software architecture area to ensure that we are using the latest methods. In addition to this, the architecture group supports the software development in the Lund office by leading analysis of new potential software development projects, as well as supporting overall software development strategies of the Bosch Group.


In the Lund team, you will be part of building professional trust with our internal Bosch customers and promote the Lund office for assignments in this area. Your tasks includes:


Support and coach project architects in their architecture work
Creating and rolling out architecture best practices
Creating and rolling out software management best practices, including managing open source licenses, managing technical debt, etc.
Leading architecture and technology activities (acquisitions, architecture forums, etc.)
Driving Lund participation in research activities within Bosch and outside Bosch, e.g. with the universities
Supporting the architecture strategy activities in Lund and in the Bosch Group





Qualifications


The successful candidate is a team player with social skills as well as a cross-functional mindset; with good experience driving software architecture, especially for embedded or mobile system. You have a strong drive, take full ownership of your assignments, and are keen to deliver on time. Continuous learning as well as sharing your knowledge with others is an important aspect of the candidate.


Further, we are looking for:


Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field
Excellent software architecture skills
Experience of modern software development methods such as Scrum and continuous integration, using tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira, and RTC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English



And find it of extra advantage if you have:


Software architecture certifications
Experience of leading architecture activities of complex embedded or mobile software systems
