Position The Senior Anylasis Design Engineer will be apart of the Structural Engineering department and will be reporting to the Group Manager. The primary reponsibilities will include: -Structural design according to classification rules.-Structural analysis with the SESAM software package.-Buckling analysis -Simplified fatigue analysis.-Stochastic fatigue analysis.-Collision and accidental loading analysis.-Inspection, mechanical completion and commissioning at shipyards and other sites around the world. Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: -Completion of a M.Sc.degree in Naval Architecture (preferable), Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer. -15 to 20 years experience of structural analysis of ships and floating offshore structures.-Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies.-Knowledge of the DNV software suite SESAM.-Expertise in the area of fatigue analysis.-Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.-Initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.-Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.-Question the effectiveness of current systems and processes and looks for ways to improve on them.-Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both prevoious successes and failures.
