What we do


The Volvo Group is in the midst of an interesting transformation journey. Volvo Group Finance contributes to realizing the vision by developing and providing a wide range of expert services from financial planning to accounting, business controlling, M&As, treasury, financial reporting, and investor relations.


In Volvo Group Finance, Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) has the responsibility for accounting and financial performance reporting for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions, and legal entities in Volvo Group. FCA secures that the financial performance is correctly reflected legally and operationally, throughout the Group. FCA provides global shared services through the delivery centers in Accounting Services with quality focused and process efficient service deliveries supporting local finance. The consolidated and operational results are mirrored at organizational level, where FCA has the full responsibility for the analysis and understanding of the consolidated results in integration with TD/BAs. FCA has the mandate to drive and develop local accounting and financial reporting processes and tools.


We are now looking for a Senior Vice President, Financial Control & Accounting to join the finance management of Volvo Group.

What we offer you


In your role as SVP, Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) you will be leading an organization consisting of 1350 professionals around the globe and you report to the CFO, Volvo Group. The position is preferably based in Gothenburg, Sweden.


You will be empowered to lead and develop the global FCA organization, processes, and ways of working to secure that the financial information reflects the business decisions.


Within Financial Control & Accounting you will lead a diverse global management team, consisting of highly professional and high-performing leaders who work with passion and trust in an open and positive atmosphere.


Your role as integrator between various parts of the Group is key. With a holistic Volvo Group perspective and strategic understanding, you represent FCA and Group Finance in different fora and projects.


The position holds a strong change agenda while at the same time delivering on the daily operations where accuracy, completeness, and a true and fair view of the financial information within the Volvo Group is the core delivery.


Who you are:
You are a natural and inspiring change leader that thrives in developing people and the ways of working in the financial reporting area.
You are a process and solution oriented person with a focus on continuous efficiency improvements and you flourish in a changing environment.
As a strong leader with high personal credibility and integrity, you are action-oriented, but you also know when anchoring is needed.
You have strong analytical skills and can deal with complex matters in a logical, structured, and fact-based manner.
You are comfortable with senior management exposure and knows how to navigate in a complex context. You will frequently communicate arguments and standpoints in a challenging environment.



Your profile:


You have extensive experience from senior management positions and a solid background from leading leaders in a global environment. You probably have a background from finance, with strong interest for change management. You know how to lead complex change journeys on a global level while at the same time delivering on the running operation, and you have significant experience from multi-cultural and process-oriented operations. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills at all levels, and you are strong in networking. You hold a master’s degree in Business/Economics, or similar, and you are fluent in verbal and written English.
