Aurora Innovation is looking for a Service and IT Delivery Director (ITIL: ‘Operations Director’) who with her/his knowledge and leadership can develop the function and contribute to the company's continued planned expansion, especially here in Europe.

Aurora develops SaaS solutions which bring together patients and care staff at a time and on digital communication channel that suits both. They create benefits for the society, and this is a strong driving force in everything they do.

Aurora Innovation are experts in the workflows of communication in healthcare and offer their customers first-class solutions for handling all the unscheduled contact attempts made from patients every day with a unique system and digital communication in various forms. Aurora currently has just over 80 employees working with development, sales, marketing, service and customer success in Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and Spain.

In this position, you will be the Manager of Aurora Innovations Service and IT Delivery, which today consists of eight employees. The department's assignment is to operate Aurora's cloud service and associated communication services used by their customers and users. The department also has operational responsibility for the Aurora Innovation Group's internal IT deliveries.

As the Service and IT Delivery Director, you will be part of Aurora Innovation's Group management team.

Your main responsibilities will include
• To formulate and implement a strategy for the department's function that reflects the company's development and growth-oriented goals and strategy
• To take over responsibility for and manage ongoing ITIL-oriented process development of the department's work
• To further develop the partial outsourcing model which is now being tested in connection with Aurora Innovation's expansion in Central Europe, and apply it to our Nordic infrastructure
• To lead and distribute the work within the department in the direction of the goals described above, and to constructively contribute to the development that takes place in the company

Vem är du?
We believe that you have an MSc or BSc in engineering or equivalent, in combination with several years of work experience in IT and operations. You are an experienced leader who confidently and in an inspiring way gets teams and projects to reach the its goals. You can create trust and long-term relationships and communicate at a professional level in English, both in speech and in writing.

You are analytical with the ability to develop strategies for the function and convey these in a concrete and clear way. Furthermore, you are customer focused, goal driven and solution oriented. You take the time to fully understand needs and problems, visualize these for both yourself and people around you to lay the foundation for good communication, and suggest solutions that meet the real needs in the long and short term.

We believe that you have worked with operational issues in a medium / large company's IT department and / or worked in the operations department at a SaaS company. From your earlier experience, you carry with you the insight of the power in a reasonably well-developed, ITIL-based approach. It is desirable that you have experience of communication systems (telephone, video, data). If you also have the width and experience of working in related functions such as system development and technical customer implementations, that is beneficial experience.

Aurora was established in 1996 in Uppsala, Sweden and today has more than 80 employees working in development, sales, marketing, service delivery and customer success in its Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and Spain. The turnover is approx. €12 million, and the profitable organic growth about 15% per year.

The company helps healthcare to increase its availability to patients. At the same time, the work environment of health care professionals that manage the unscheduled flow of incoming contact requests is significantly improved. The solutions also support management of emergency teams. The solutions have been crafted during years of close partnership with health care.

The company’s product Aurora teleQ is leading within case management and digital communication for healthcare. The customer base consists of care centers and wards within public regional and private care providers. In Sweden, more than 80% of all citizens meet Aurora teleQ when calling to primary care centers. In Finland the penetration is approximately half as large. In the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal, the business is growing quickly. The company undertakes an ambitious transformation in anticipation of a rapid expansion in Europe.
