We are looking for an Engineering Leader to form at team of 20 R&D engineers spread across 5 sites in US, Europe and India. The team will work with Services & Product groups to deliver a state-of the-art service platform that’s integrated into our Cytiva equipment.


The goal is to enable our Cytiva instruments to be faster and easier to serve, thanks to sensing and IoT technology and good SW & HW design practices and concepts

What you’ll do
The Design For Service leader oversees the activities of the Service R&D group. Drives the development of Design standards, SW & HW Libraries and Templates to ensure Cytiva instruments are easy, fast and low-cost to serve.
Explore Service design gaps in our instruments (and organization) and prepare both short-term and long-term plans to address gaps
Develop DFS vision and Roadmap/Blueprint. Work with HW R&D, SW & Automation and Product Management teams to develop service design elements and prioritize them in ongoing and future NPI and Product care activities
Drive Digital Service capabilities across Cytiva Product portfolio including Connectivity, data enablement, and development of predictive data models for continuous learning to enable predictive and condition-based maintenance
Develop Service design and development talent within the organization and implement best practices in Innovation, and Product development



Who you are
Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent as well as significant years of working experience
Background as Engineering or R&D leader within industrial systems engineering
Industry experience from either biopharma, medica device or pharmaceutical industry preferred
Deep understanding of the digital industry, issues and opportunities in areas such as technology and data
Understanding of best practices in innovation, portfolio management, Customer and Service centric approach to product development
Ability to work across a large organization, global, and proven record of direct and indirect management of resources and teams, drive change and create influence without direct organization reports or formal authority
Ability to Travel 25-40% of the time.
