Showroom Technician

Your mission
In this varied role, you get to represent our company and provide important technical support within the Flagship Center, in order to demonstrate the world leading qualities of our metal cutting products and services. You guide visitors and conduct both virtual and physical events and presentations for internal and external groups, such as schools, partners and customers. Also supporting the sales organization, you take part in customer visits in Sweden, and you use CAM to plan, prepare and execute customer projects. Another part of your job is performing machine demonstrations as part of our internal technical training to increase the competence level throughout our organization.
As a member of the Coromant Marketing and Communication team in Sandviken, you have both local and global responsibilities and engage in the development of our Flagship Center, as well as develop the processes connected to your own role. You’re based in Sandviken and this role includes some traveling – both within Sweden and to different Sandvik Coromant sites around the world.
Your profile
With a genuine technical interest and solid experience from metal cutting applications and production techniques, you’ve acquired excellent knowledge of managing CNC machines and you have prior experience in CAD/CAM. You’re also at home in Office 365 and Microsoft Teams. When it comes to education, you’ve gone through shop floor technical training or equivalent knowledge acquired through working. A technical university degree is beneficial. As we work in a global setting, good written and verbal skills in English is necessary.
Although your experience is important, your personal qualities is key in this role – characterized by great social competence and a sincere customer focus, and you love to meet, interact with and train people. With your charismatic and pedagogic manners, you make presentations interesting and easy to understand. Add a structured approach and a good general technical understanding and you’re the perfect candidate for this role!
