Simulation Engineer
Transmission/E-drive

* Analysis & simulation engineer within FEA and/or CFD in different types of transmission/drivetrain projects (EV, AMT, AT, DCT, CVT, MT, etc.), both light and heavy-duty vehicles
* Develop new and improve existing methods and guidelines, and stay up to date with most recent technology findings within the field of drivetrains
* Problem solving on existing products with detailed root cause analysis.
* As CFD engineer, you will perform oil splash simulations, hydraulic system simulations, thermal simulations, and efficiency analyses.
* As FEA engineer, you will perform housing and component FE simulations, fatigue analyses, system model simulations and analytical machine element calculations
* Working in international project teams, cooperation with different AVL departments worldwide, in direct contact with our customers.

* University degree in Engineering
* Excellent analytical capability
* Extensive experience within FEA and/or CFD
* Knowledge in commercially available simulation tools for FEA and/or CFD (Abaqus, fe-safe, FEMFAT, STARCCM+, ANSA, MASTA/KissSys MATLAB, etc.)
* Knowledge in transmissions and the including machine elements (gears, bearings, lubricants, clutches, hydraulic systems). Experience from product development of transmissions is an advantage.
* Knowledge in hybrid systems and/or electric machines is an advantage
* Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can work independently, guide your co-workers and lead the work forward
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Swedish is meritorious)
* Driving license
