The Transmission Development department is responsible for the mechanical design of the next generation transmissions that will propel future Geely Group cars. We work with different systems in the transmission; clutch, lubrication, gears & shafts, shifting, housings and other structures. The simulation team acts as a technical competence group to support solving technical issues and virtually validate new mechanical designs.

Simulation Engineer – NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness)

As the NVH requirements in new transmissions get tougher and tougher in the automotive industry, the capacity to accurately predict the noise and vibration behavior of transmission systems is paramount in order to have an outstanding product in a highly competitive market. As a Simulation Engineer NVH you are a key player in reassuring that the transmission will fulfill stringent NVH requirements from an early design phase. Your work will serve as an important input to the decision making process in the mechanical design of transmission components and systems.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Perform NVH simulations on transmissions’ structures
- Advice on the creation of simulation methodologies for NVH
- Correlate measurements with NVH simulation models
- Advice on of NVH measurements both in rig and in vehicle
- Acquire and transfer innovation in NVH simulation techniques to the team

Requirements                                                           

- MSc or PhD or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in NVH simulations in powertrain applications, preferably transmission
- Relevant experience with CAE software for NVH simulations is required
- Ability to operate and deliver in a multicultural environment
- Ability to work in a structured and flexible way
- Cultural awareness, particularly Asian culture
- Excellent command of English language both written and spoken
