Software Architect

UI Architect
Syncron is looking to appoint a UI Architect able to help define the process and technology to be used in the delivery of Syncron’s future UI’s, and to lead – both hands on and hands off - front-end development teams in building the skills, practices and technical capabilities necessary to deliver to Syncron’s UI Strategy.
Experience and skills required
Candidates should have significant experience (5+ years) delivering front-end applications using modern technologies and frameworks (such as Angular, React and similar).
We would expect candidates to have good experience (3+ years) leading teams delivering applications and contributing strongly to their design (ideally including formal design which includes contributing to necessary design artefacts and elements or QA and reviews - whether or not in a formal ‘Architecture’ role).
Candidates should have considerable experience working within teams (i.e. not solo) delivering projects based on Agile methodologies and in a DevOps/ CI/CD environment.
Candidates must have experience, and a strong desire, to coach, mentor and improve colleagues.
Technically we would expect strong skills and experience of Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, HTTP/ RESTFul API based back-end integration technologies, as well as strong experience of the Angular (6+) or REACT frameworks.
Experience of a micro-front end framework (such as luigi) would also be a benefit. Mobile experience would also be useful.
Java experience (nearly all back-ends in Syncron are Java based) would be a benefit in order to help understand context – but is not essential.
