Software designer Software engineer / Project manager SenseAir AB, a world leading company in development and production of NDIR (Non Dispersive Infra-Red) gas sensors, is looking for a qualified software designer. Product design Our product is a mixed-signal embedded system based on an 8-bit microcontroller in combination with optical and electronic sub systems. Demands from our customers and the rapid development within this field give a good opportunity for an exciting job for engineers that appreciate research as well as practical problem solving. The challenge in the system design is to create a high-performance product while still keeping the product price low. Work description As a software designer you will have a key role in the development of new products, production system and accessories. You will work in our R&D department together with 15 colleagues. Examples of common tasks: - Specification, design, implementation and maintenance of software for sensors and supporting programs - Manage design projects with the goal of creating new products or new functions in existing products - Test, evaluation and verification of software/hardware in the embedded sensor system and other systems interacting and communicating with the sensor - Support hardware engineers with e.g. component selection by stating requirements from software perspective - Support production system designers in the industrialization phase of new products - Support and manage consultants and other external resources working in our design projects - Documentation of technical requirements, verification specifications and technical descriptions - Troubleshooting during development, verification and production stages We work in teams in co-operation with project manager, sales engineer, hardware designer, software designer, mechanical designer, quality assurance responsible, test engineer, production engineers and external consultants. Education / basis Applicants should have good knowledge, experience and interest in software design, test and verification. You should be self-motivated in solving development tasks, and be prepared to manage design projects. Communication and documentation in English is required.
