Software Developer for open source project

Software Skills is seeking a software developer for an open source project at Mullvad.

Mullvad is a VPN service that helps keep internet users' online activity, identity and location private. They have a strong track record and a growing customer base. Mullvad is a team of people fully dedicated to their goal - to make internet censorship and surveillance ineffective.


About the position

We are seeking an experienced C++ developer who will be responsible for leading a project in cooperation with developers from a prominent open source organization. As lead developer, you will plan the development of as well as implement the project together with your team members.

The project entails modifying and adding to an existing open source product to make it work with the Mullvad VPN service. You will modify and m ake patches for the product. You will work with highly skilled people within the security and privacy communities. The long-term goal of the project is to create an open, generic solution.


Qualifications

:: The following qualities and skills are essential to the position ::
- Development experience in C++
- A self-driven, autonomous, and organized team member
- Ability to communicate clearly and coherently in English

:: The following qualities and skills are preferred but not required ::
- Good knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience in contributing to open source projects
- A proven track record in successful project management
- Experience with network security and network programming
- Passion for privacy and security technology
