Role Purpose
As part of our continued expansion, LR Software are looking for an ambitious Software Developer to join our growing RiskSpectrum development team, based in Stockholm Stockholm but with flexibility for hybrid office and home working.
The RiskSpectrum team develops, markets and supports important risk analysis tools with application to the Nuclear sector. You will possess the drive, enthusiasm, and ambition to form part of a dynamic team producing highly analytical software products for advanced user such as researchers and other nuclear experts. You need to be willing to embrace challenges and will have the opportunity to contribute to the future shape and direction of the team and technologies.
The role is mostly front end focused but include full stack implementations depending on interest and project. It is a plus if you are interested in forming the functionality, appearance, and user experience. The products are using the latest research algorithms and require high analytical skills for use and development. The team and the products are both in changing phase to modernize, providing continuous integrations and automated tests.
Your colleagues’ locations will span from Beijing to London including Shanghai, Dresden and Aberdeen, which makes this position an opportunity to work with intelligent people from around the world.
Your duties will include
· Develop using appropriate graphical design and structure to provide feature solutions with good user experience and performance.
· Effectively produce highly advanced risk monitoring and analysis software products with the support of a product expert.
· Create clean, thorough, and top-quality code and architecture working in an agile process.
· Design and style complex programs and program modifications from supplied feature requirements, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
· Effectively estimate completion time and ensure delivery to these agreed timescales.
· Ensuring that the development of the products is performed in a maintainable way; improving unit test coverage and creating good architecture.
Required experience
· Good level of experience in web development using React, HTML5/CSS, ES6+, Typescript or similar.
· Good level of experience of .NET Core and C# or other object-oriented language.
· Good knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
· Good knowledge and practice of SOLID OO-design principles, design patterns and DDD
· Experience of working within agile software development environment.
Desirable
· Interest in graphical design and/or user interaction.
· Experience of working with cloud-based applications (particularly in Azure).
· Domain interest in risk analysis, nuclear and/or other high security areas.
· Knowledge of Desktop GUI, i.e. WinForms or similar.
· Knowledge of Japanese language is a nice advantage.
· Experience in TDD, creating and maintaining unit tests including mocking.
· Good attention to details, our clients require high quality products!
