Position overview
Repli5 is seeking to hire a skilled software developer to work with the development of our technology platform WorldMaker. As a member of the Repli5 development team you will be responsible for developing software features with the goal to automate the creation of digital worlds. Primary focus within your role will involve developing functionality focused on defining parameterizations of real world phenomena and generating realistic virtual representations based on deterministic outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages Python and C++, knowledge in important existing and new technologies, as well as experience in the software development life-cycle.
Responsibilities
Develop high quality code including documentation and automated tests
Collaborate with customers and colleagues to solve technical challenges in the system design and in the development of new platform features
Contribute and integrate features for automating the creation of digital worlds
Consult with colleagues and customers on project status and proposals
Prepare reports on project specifications, activities, and project status

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or similar
At least 2 years of experience in software development
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Resourceful and organized, highly motivated and proactive
Ability to prioritize and solve complex tasks within project limitations
Extensive programming knowledge in Python and C++
Proficient in linear algebra
Proficient in English

Advantageous Experiences
General knowledge in procedural generation and/or 3D modeling
General knowledge of DCC tools (e.g. Blender) and procedural workflows
Experience with Unreal Engine or other game engines
Experience working with GISs and geographical data
Statistics/Machine learning
Experience in agile development methodologies and relevant tools (e.g. Scrum, Jira, GIT)
Experience with development on Linux platforms
