Software DRE for Engine Control Modules till GM

Responsibilities of the department: Within the Product Engineering Organization of GM Powertrain - Europe (Sweden Operations) the area "Control Systems HRC" is responsible for development and application of Engine and Transmission Control Units for production application. The department "Controls Integration & Application" is responsible for the following topics: . Development and definition of the electric/electronic interface (Powertrain / Vehicle) in global boards. . Engine-/ Transmission Software management/planning and release for all European Powertrain Applications. . Interface to the Vehicle Engineering Center (VEC) with regard to requirements definition for all GME Vehicle Applications, software planning and the development of the complete electrical vehicle system. The vacant position is in the area of Software Management and Release of Engine Control Modules (ECMs). Your new responsibility in this area: . Powertrain internal and external reporting about Engine Control Module (ECM) software release status according to the Global Powertrain Development Process - Preparation of presentation material - Development status of the Powertrain and Vehicle interface signals and functions - Calibration status and maturity of the ECM software . Planning and communication of removal actions for software errors identified by Vehicle or Powertrain development groups. . Development of solutions to remove ECM Software anomalies together with other EMS (Engine Management System) development groups and the ECM supplier. . Planning of software availability according to the Powertrain and Vehicle development timing requirements together with other EMS development groups and the ECM supplier. . Software release execution - Preparation of the Embedded Controller Readiness Valves - Supply of the software for the calibration and test areas - Execution of the Software- und Data-file releases with global Release Tools Requirement: . University degree in Software, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering . 1 - 3 years of practical experience in software development- / project management . Excellent verbal and written English Desirable Qualifications: . Experience in automotive embedded control systems . Experience in software development and quality processes .
