At Climate, we are responsible for creating a comfortable in-car climate and securing good air quality for vehicle occupants. Our systems also support other vehicle components with cooling and heating to ensure optimal operating conditions and increased efficiency.
As part of this, we design the complete climate system and develop the software that controls all its parts.Within Climate, the Refrigerant and Heating Software Team focuses on controlling the vehicle’s refrigerant and thermal systems to deliver requested temperatures from different stakeholders such as the cabin climate controller and the battery system.
We are a collaborative team of software developers working across the full development chain—from design and implementation to testing and fault tracing. While every team member works with a broad set of tasks, we also value deep expertise in areas such as control systems, programming, and test equipment. This mix creates a strong environment for learning and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
As a Refrigerant and Heating Software Developer, you will be part of a team developing software that controls the vehicle’s thermal and refrigerant systems. Your responsibilities will include:
 
Designing and developing control software for refrigerant and heating systems
Implementing and maintaining software models using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
Supporting software integration, testing, and fault tracing activities
Collaborating closely with other software developers, control engineers, and system stakeholders
Contributing to continuous improvement of development methods, tools, and way of working
Actively sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues within the team
Ability to travel 2-8 weeks per year mostly within Europe
What you'll bring
You are a curious and motivated software developer with a strong interest in control systems and vehicle thermal management. You enjoy working in a team environment while also taking initiative and responsibility for your own contributions.
 
Required qualifications:
University degree in engineering (e.g. Control Systems, Mechatronics, Software, or similar) or equivalent experience
Knowledge and practical experience in control systems
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
Programming experience in C, C++ or Python
Fluent communication skills in English
Valid driving license

 
Meritorious:
Experience working with Git
Experience with TargetLink
Experience working in thermal or climate test rigs
