About us
The Propulsion Innovation Lab is a team within Vehicle Propulsion which supports our ambition to lead in sustainable electric propulsion.
The need to address scientific developments, low maturity technologies and early-stage concepts is crucial – the Propulsion Innovation Lab has been built for this purpose as a dedicated and cross-functional core team to initiate, stimulate and support innovative projects. Here ideas can crystallize into concepts.
Work speed and intensity are essential: create fast, validate, or fail fast, start again!
What you will do
You will work in a small team of highly skilled engineers with short decision paths and fast learning opportunities. You will work closely with battery experts, CAE specialists, charging innovators and car enthusiasts – your contribution will be to support us with your SW expertise. You will be responsible for developing SW for prototype battery systems and future SW related content. The work might not always be 100% clear and structured; you should feel comfortable with that! In return you get the chance to work on early innovations and the latest tech within vehicle propulsion.
Who are you and what do you need to know?
You are a hands-on coder with a passion for prototyping and running pilots; this requires you to be a generalist in the SW field with a solid understanding of the most common languages and tools. To succeed in this role, you should see opportunities rather than problems, be proactive and willing to jump onto exciting challenges. We believe that collaboration and networking come natural to you. You are communicative and open to learn new things every day. And you can make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
You and your skills
You have a university degree in SW engineering.
* You are experienced in embedded programming and C/C++ development.
* You have experience with wireless communication, Simulink/PLECS integration and development of prototype hardware.
* You are self-motivated, structured, and feel comfortable with being responsible for creating SW with different parts of our organization.
* You are an innovator with a genuine interest in sustainable vehicle propulsion.
* You have the skills and proven ability to work with SW teams and you are described as result driven.
