The Optimization team in Product Development at Jeppesen Sweden, Göteborg is seeking a Software Engineer.The Product Development goup in Göteborg develops state-of-the-art technology and optimization systems for planning and maintaining crew, fleet and passenger operations at the worlds leading airlines and railways.The Optimization team is responsible for the core Optimization-engines in all our products.The succesful candidate will work with mathematical modeling, algorithmic development and performance tuning as well as taking part in research, design, implementation, testing and maintenance.The succesful candidate is goal-oriented and enjoy problem-solving, but does still have an eye for the big picture.He or she works well in a team and is very communicative and open.An interest in optimization and algorithms is a given.Strong software development background especially in Object-Oriented programming is required.The new member in the team will be working with highly talented and experienced developers, having regular interaction with the other development teams and installation projects.Must have skills: Minimum three years experience of C/C++ programming in an industry environment.Strong skills in design and implementation of advanced algorithms.Background in Optimization/Operations Research.Nice to have skills: Experience from working with Python.Experience from working with airline or railway applications.Clients include world-leading companies like KLM, SAS, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, Delta Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Deutsche Bahn, DSB, and Green Cargo.Jeppesen has pioneered several new methods and algorithms for solving large, complex optimization problems, and we participate in joint research at some of the world's leading universities.
