Software Engineer SC GTO Powertrain

We are beefing up our team looking for:


Two Software Engineers Professional with passion for technologies and the art of creating value by code, supporting the GTO Powertrain Plants with solutions, interaction with key users and being part of the digital journey. Primary domain is logistics and execution/testing


We are open for different candidate profiles.
Both junior candidates willing to learn, and more senior profile interested to return to VMS platform are most welcome to apply

Required competence


We are searching for two Software engineers to add capacity to our Volvo Group IT team in Skövde.
Primary objectives are to develop and support applications on the VMS platform.
Secondary objective can be to support our delivery to the GTO Powertrain engine plant.


To be successful in this role we believe the candidate has:
Competence in system development and distributing systems
Experience with parallelly processing solutions
Are willing to work in both front and Backend
To be in direct interaction with key users
To participate in requirement breakdown sessions



Wanted skillset:
VMS Platform
.NET
MSMQ
SQL
Fortran based languages, seen as a merit

Personal profile
You enjoy teamwork, contribute to a positive team spirit and you like taking responsibility for the results.
As person you are innovative, self-driven, have a strong technical focus and interest in combination with a customer-oriented attitude. You as a person have the ability to work under challenging, demanding and changing conditions.


You have knowledge about the lifecycle of software development, including analysis, unit testing and continuous integration. Also experience from automotive industry is seen as an asset.
