Job Description

As a Software Engineer you will join our Edge Network team where we are focused on LAN and Wi-Fi in our stores, offices and warehouses on a global scale. We have the mission to fully establish automated deployment of infrastructure network, by providing cutting edge solutions through modern ways of working. As a team, we embrace cloud services, API’s, automation in our journey to become more data driven.


Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the entire Software Lifecycle and together with your team develop, build and manage (DevOps) secure network infrastructure solutions for H&M Group globally (e.g. switches, wireless solutions, and routers). You will also play an important part to ensure we have a continuous improvement and complex problem-solving mindset in the team. Furthermore, you will:
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution designs
Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into account
Investigate and find relevant API’s and frameworks applicable for automating and configuring network devices
Handle Zero Touch deployment configuration of network devices



Who are you?
We believe you are a energetic, ambitious and curious person who are excited to push for innovation. With your good coding skills and extensive working experience within the network field, you have the ability to drive automation within the organisation utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). We also believe you have:
Network automation experience
Experience in multi-vendor infrastructure platforms
Experience in Cloud and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (802.11) and systems.
Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems
Knowledge of Network protocols ((TCP/UDP/IP) and Multi-vendor Layer 3 routing protocols (i.e., BGP, OSFP, EIGRP, IGRP, HSRP, VRRP)
