SKF is taking its extensive experience in bearing maintenance and combining it with the latest technology in mobile apps, big data and advanced analytics to provide our customer with the right information at the right time.
The demand for machine condition monitoring solutions is expected to skyrocket in the coming years and SKF needs to protect our position as the undisputed leader in the bearing business.

Your day-to-day work
As a Software Engineer/Developer, you will be part of an autonomous team with great colleagues that builds SKFs connected services. Together with the team you will secure that our micro services are awesome. In practice it means that you will:
Code
Design, plan, develop, test, deploy, maintain and support the service.
Coordinate team backlog priorities and deliverables.
Contribute and work with the overall architecture alongside the team and coordinate architect.
Maintain the culture of competence growth, innovation and fun.


We expect you to have/be
University degree, for instance computer science or related field
At least 2 years’ experience from working with multiple programming languages
At least 2 years’ experience from working with backend development
Enthusiasm for backend and problem solving.
Fluency in English, other language skills are meriting
Open to travel if needed for specific activities


To be an effective Software Engineer, you also need experience in and understanding of development of distributed systems, micro services, and Amazon Web Services. We are using the latest cloud service solutions and will seek to continue to do so.

Tools you will be playing with
Go, Datadog, AWS, Terraform, godog.
