Software Knowledge Engineer (Maskiningenjör)

The SKF group is the world's leading global supplier of products, services and solutions in the area comprising rolling bearings, seals, mechatronics, services and lubrications systems.The Group has around 100 manufacturing sites, and is represented in more than 130 countries.We are looking for a Software Knowledge Engineer (Maskiningenjör - Mjukvarusupport) Sökord: Civilingenjör, Högskoleingenjör, maskinteknik, mekanik, IT, support, träning, undervisning, help-desk, kunskap, troubleshooting.Engineering Knowledge Services - EKS, an organisation belonging to Group Development Services within SKF, is responsible for development, support, training and maintenance of the software used by application- and development engineers.Currently EKS is the owner of 12 different software packages, all developed internally by SKF.These software tools range from very advanced, capable of simulating complete mechanical systems, to expert systems for bearing damage analysis and tools for basic application engineering studies.EKS is currently staffed by four people and is located at SKF in Göteborg, Sweden.We are currently looking for a new software knowledge engineer with an FEM background, who can strengthen the team.You will provide support to all SKF application- and development engineers worldwide on the use of our engineering software calculation tools and ensure their further development following the inputs and requirements from the SKF engineering community.The main focus area for you will be to provide support for and give trainings in the tools developed on the Orpheus platform.Job profile * Support and advise users on approaches for model building, debugging, running, and results interpretation * Be an active interface with users and record their feedback * Develop and maintain user documentation and execute training courses * Execute acceptance testing of software before release Requirements[ * Minimum bachelor university level degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent * Experience with analytical software tools for mechanical engineering o ANSYS, Pro/Mechanica, MatLab, Mathcad * Willingness to travel and work abroad on short assignments * Experience with training other people * Good ability in written and spoken English.Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage * Structured and analytical * Good communication skills, both written and verbally * Customer focused problem solver * Self driven personality * Good team working skills We offer A challenging international job with frequent customer contacts, a stimulating work environment and good possibilities for professional growth.
